Newborn Session – Meet Caroline Jane

It’s been a very busy few months and I have a lot of posts to catch up on! Here are some photographs from my recent Newborn session with baby Caroline. I’ve learned that these sessions take a lot of time and patience. But all of the hard work pays off when you capture the sweet little moments of a newborn baby!

Lesner Inn Wedding

It had been a little while since I photographed at the Lesner Inn and I was happy that Lacey and Andy were going to tie the knot there! It is such a beautiful spot and as (almost) always we had an amazing sunset. I had photographed Lacey and Andy’s engagement session last fall and they had me create one of my hardcover photo guest books for them. See below. I wish Lacey and Andy all the best in there new life together!

Youthful Beach Wedding Style

Heather and Juan are two of the sweetest and exuberant couples you will ever meet. Their two adorable yellow labs were a big part of their day – hanging out with guys while they got ready, escorting the rings down the aisle, watching the ceremony, posing for photos and even taking part of the first dance! Heather’s family owns Cuisine and Co. so of course the food was delicious. Overall it was a wedding day filled with laughter and light hearted fun.

Soza Family Beach Portraits

I photographed Amy and Macio’s wedding back in 2007. It was so much fun to hear that they now have a little boy. We met at the beach to take their family portrait. What an adorable family!

Wedding Day Props

Stephanie and Juan had a beautiful norfolk wedding. During our portrait time they brought a box of props! Just a few books & a football made their photographs unique and special to them. I always encourage clients to think of something to bring to their day or session that is meaningful and fun. Wether it is a kite, beach cruiser or a cowboy hat – bring them with you!

A Walk in the Park

Gina and Andrew met me at two of my favorite locations for portraits. Add the perfect weather & a happy couple and we’ve got a top notch shoot!

Yorktown Sweetheart Wedding

Amy and Eric are so perfect for each other! And their wedding party was one of the most supportive and spirited group I’ve had the pleasure to work with. We started with getting ready shots at the Marriott at Oyster Point and then continued through the ceremony and reception at the Yorktown Coast Guard Training Center. I had so many favorites! Especially the outdoor shots with the bride and groom. And of course I have to include my staple shot from the Port of York – a silhouette of the bride & groom in the circle.

Lighthouse Engagement Shoot

In an effort to mix up the traditional engagement session – TC, Sean and I decided to use the lighthouse as our location for their shoot. The inside of the lighthouse is such a creative space. It was really neat playing with the light and dark to create some artistic shots. Then afterwards we still got a few more classic photographs at the beach. A special thanks to TC and Sean for trying something different with me.

Spring Wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Garden

Erin and Will had the most beautiful spring day for their wedding. Almost everything at the Norfolk Botanical Garden was in bloom and we took full advantage! Will is a part of the Jesse Chong Band and they had the amazingly talented Smart Brothers Band all the way from California to play their event. It was a fun family wedding!

Laughter and Love

Whitney and Jeff were so much fun to work with. These two know how to make each other smile!
