I like to think I’ve been good about exploring our community and beyond since we moved here six years ago. Especially the Kitsap peninsula. But every once and awhile I am surprised by a hidden (or not so hidden) gem. The Indianola pier is that spot! I am so glad that Nolan and his family requested to have his senior photos here. I will definitely be going back for another visit soon.

This year is my twelve anniversary on becoming a professional photographer! And I still absolutely love what I do, I feel so fortunate to have found a career that gives me the opportunity to preserve memories and bring happiness to someone else’s life. I enjoy working with people and being creative. To quote my husband – “you could stare at pictures all day!” And it’s true!! So here’s to another year of photographing wonderful couples, families, homes, places, dogs, you name it!
Speaking of a new years and dogs – I volunteered my services to photographs a few pups for the Kitsap Humane Society’s annual calendar. After photographing their charity event last year I was so moved by the generosity and good will of such a great organization that I wanted to give back.
Zoey and Ryan had the perfect setting for their rustic country style wedding at Kitsap Memorial State Park in Poulsbo, WA. Their love of the outdoors made this a special place for their ceremony and reception where they were surrounded by the woods, water and mountains. Some of their friends even camped the night! My favorite part about their wedding was the dancing and music. Zoey’s family are amazing folk performers and threw a fun filled wedding hoe down!
